Reports are usually posted in one of three ways:
- Give a one-or-two-word description of the meditation method you
used, and a 10-to-15-word description of what happened. For example, "Still and Flow. Had
pain in my shoulder and it turned into flow. Now feel fine." This kind of report is useful for the community, since
everyone can understand your experience, and to me, since I can respond
to you with instructions
for moving forward.
- Give a one-or-two-word description of the meditation method you
used, then push keys on your phone every few seconds to indicate what
you were experiencing at a given moment. For example, "Still and Flow.
aaaaaddaadddddaddddddddddaadddadddddddddd." In this example, "a"
means "Still" and "d" means "Flow." If you look closely, you can tell
that the person who wrote this report experienced more and more flow as
the ten minutes progressed. This kind of report is useful for me, since I
can easily understand your experience and respond to you with
instructions for moving forward, and to you, since the rhythmic physical activity
in your fingers will guarantee that your mind will not wander for 10
minutes.
- If you are in a rush, just write a one-word confirmation that you
did 10 minutes of practice. For
example, "Done." This kind of report is
useful for you if you don't have much time. I will not generally respond
to it, though, as it gives me little to work with.
Not all reports are shown on twitter, since we have strict filtering in place to
prevent any personal information, such as email addresses or phone
numbers, from being posted to the public. Anything that goes up on
twitter is completely anonymous. But all reports are delivered to us with your name and contact information attached, whether you sign them or not.
